electric kiln moving

Morning,

I'm moving from Oklahoma to the east coast, and I'm soliciting packing
advice. I have a Skutt 1027 3 section kiln to move. I moved it out here
stacked together, and it took a beating from rubbing together. I was
thinking about packing each segment individually in a wooden box with foam
rubber mat on the bottom. If anyone has experience or suggestions, I would
love to hear them.

Wayne, this video shows how we crate kilns at the factory. Tighten the
packing so the kiln sections don't move during shipping. Instead of
using steel banding to do that, as shown in the video, you could use
ratchet straps. I take them to trade shows.
