midnight in paris (was "art education")

Has anyone seen the movie "Midnight in Paris" by Woody Allen?

As my mom had visited Paris a few years ago I thought it would be a nice
Christmas gift. (We watched it again over New Year's.)

It is funny how "we" always lament the present. Everything was always
better in the past.

For most of the movie it's a cute remembrance of artists long ago. It's
only near the end of the movie that it delivers it's poignant message.

Recently, in Minneapolis, in two separate games, two teenagers were left
paralyzed while playing in hockey games. The head of the youth hockey
association, when asked if new rules were appropriate said, "Let's not have=
a
knee jerk reaction."

Change is good. (sometimes.)

Happy New Year everyone

Primarily, our society is enamored with change. Woody Allen's
followers are in the minority.

One reason I liked this moved was because there was nothing
about Allen's pitiful hypochondria in it. It was a good gag the
first time.
