I am in the market to purchase a new DSLR...I am comfortable with=3D20
cameras...have lots of old Nikon Fs...I want to photograph my work...
my old Cannon DSLR is a problem...what I see is not what I get...and
it drives me crazy...

I don't necessarily need all the extras...but don;t want to miss something
important I will need later...

any help would be appreciated.

Any of the current crop of Nikon or Canon bodies will do. If you want full =
=3D
frame it will be very expensive. My personal preference would be for a good=
=3D
105mm macro lens. I have a Nikon D60 (low end body) with a 105 Nikkor Micr=
=3D
o AF D lens which is very sharp.Vinod

Pentax gives pretty good bang for the buck so when I get the bucks I'll pro=
=3D
bably upgrade from their Optio W30 & W80 underwater compacts I'm using to o=
=3D
ne of their DSLR and a couple of lenses. The first Optio 60 I got must have=
=3D
gotten dust in the lens mechanism and froze open so when their underwater =
=3D
cameras came out I figured that would be great for shooting in the studio. =
=3D
Once I got to adjusting the white balance once in a while I started getting=
=3D
what I see. I'd like to take some photography classes some day so I'd lear=
=3D
n more about seeing flaws like noise and such but for now I'm satisfied wit=
=3D
h most all the shots you see in my links. Some shots got published in a loc=
=3D
al calender contest to raise funds for the Dickinson County Conservation Di=
=3D
strict and got a cash award for one. The thing to do is check out the camer=
=3D
a review sites for more objective opinions and see my links for examples of=
=3D
some photos and videos I shot. Some videos were taken with a JVC
Everio and just about everything is re-sized for smaller file uploads. I'v=
=3D
e had print enlargements and they look fine. Enjoy your search and stay in =

If you mean color balance wise, then your problem could be as simple as
setting the proper white balance for the particular set up. If in fact y=
=3D
our
camera is the culprit, then any of the big name cameras should be capable=
=3D
of
helping you make great product images, with the help of the proper lighti=
=3D
ng
set up (either with natural or artificial light), which need not be an
expensive one.

Just a shout out to Sony... I bought a Sony A580, and LOVE it!!=3D20
I also use Adobe Lightroom which is pretty reasonably priced and organize=
=3D

In another time I may have bought Nikon just because Simon and Garfunkel =

said=3D20
so mama don't take my Kodachrome away....
