Today, I learned that a good friend had died Dec. 18th.
He had always been generous to me and had shared his knowledge and glaze
formulas openly. Even though he was selling clay bodies and prepared
glazes, he would tell me the "secrets" and sell me the ingredients to make
them myself. I will miss his crusty, good-humored joking.
Though he lost an arm to his pugmill years ago, he continued to throw
pots-nice pots. He worked harder than two men loading and mixing clay and
running a clay supply. He wouldn't let you help him carry things out or
load your clay-he wanted you to know he wasn't "disabled". I wish I had
spent more time with him then, because he's gone now.
John Logan of Texas Pottery Supply in Fort Worth. He died peacefully in his
sleep. I will miss him.

Here's another example of someone who will be missed but may not have
known his value to friends and others he influenced. If there are people
who make a difference in your life,tell them now rather than waiting for
something awful to happen. Sincerely,Tim Malm, slowly recovering from a

Most definiantely!!! I 'had' a very dear friend who at 46 died in her
sleep.
No warning..... no nothing. I curse myself all the time for letting time
pass because of living in different states and not keeping in close touch.
Now she's gone.... and I CAN'T tell her I Love her. Since then, I've also
swolled some pride and made up with family/friends that I still cared for but
for some reason was mad at. Even if the reason for the fight can't be
settled.... just let it lie. Start new and try again.
