Folks,=3D0A=3D0A=3DA0So I was just about done loading the front setting in=
the l=3D
ast video. Now comes the challenge of getting the last shelf of pots on top=
so I can brick up the door. This firing I bricked the door =3D0Awith one t=
ckness of 4.5" hard brick like most of the chamber wall and =3D0Afilled in =
th 4.5" of IFB scraps ...=3D0A=3D0A=3D0A

the chamber to about 1000F before starting to switch the fire to the hobs .=

=3DA0I noticed something about using the knee high active damper in the sta=
I thought was holding heat in when in fact having the damper in kept the s=
tack cool and slowed the, in addition to adding leftover door bric=
k to take the stack to about 17', I closed off the damper slot and set the =
chimney cap to about 1/2 open. and concentrated on stoking. Some time after=
the kiln got to 2000 I slid the cap to about 1/3 open and didn't mess with=
it=3D0A until I slid it closed to shut her down ...=3D0A=3D0Ahttp://www.yo=

about 64 hours and peeking revealed some runny glazes up front and what se=
ems to be no cracking in the Continental ^12 porcelain I put right in the m=
ain blast of flame. (I don't get paid to say that.)=3DA0 The results we wil=
