I have built both arches and flat tops on kilns. The last three kilns have
been MFT's (Nils Lou). Personally, I Like flat tops but like Jonathon
Kaplan I don't think its worth the time to argue about whether one is more
pleasing than the other. With the latest improvements in the brick
arrangment for the roof I find the FT's very nice to build. What I really
think is more important (than whether it's a flat top or an arch) is the
flue arrangement that Nils has designed. Cheers, John
