Do any of you buy your thermocouple extension wire or plugs (mini plug
for my Fluke, K thermocouple from Bailey's) from online sources other
than pottery supply houses? Maybe bulk? I'm looking locally as Corpus
Christi has petroleum industry but so far it is difficult to receive
help via phone (still South Texas) from these kinds of shops. I'm
interested in sources with which clay folks have had good experiences.
My online searches have been too LOUD with results, if you know what
I mean.
Much obliged,

If anyone knows where to buy sections of 8GA chromel and alumel wire
to make the thermocouples themselves, I would be interested in knowing
that. can't seem to find it anywhere. it's easy to weld them up with
a tig welder if you have access to one.

As a matter of interest I get my thermocouples etc from:
www.tc.co.uk
They sell online, and prices are reasonable.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I finally found Grainger Supply in
Corpus Christi, TX where I might be able to find the small quantities
I'm looking for. At the very least I will be able to see and touch
what they have.
Bless you, hive mind.
