Have an enquiry for city location of Evans or Evans Co. in California. An
acquaintnace owns four contemporary raku pots and would like to contact the
artist.
The piece I saw is a 12=22 tall ovoid shaped pot, rakued with pastel glazes
in a sponged application with the name Evans and the number 264 painted on
its base. Perhaps a Californian reading this will recognize the name -
Could it be a company? A full name would be appreciated - a telephone
number a plus.

Your not really going to be able to contact the "artist".... Tony Evans
started a Raku factory in California years ago. The last info I had on the
factory is about six to eight years old. At that time there were 50 plus
people working in the factory producing slip cast Raku. I believe he was
bought out a few years ago by a bigger decorative accessories manufacturer
(Dakin, Inc., I believe) and they now also produce lighting, glass, and some
other accessories for the furniture and accessories industry. They are
represented by design showrooms around the world. Since your friend's piece
has a number on the bottom, I'd bet they were designed and produced by
committee.
