A few different things here, but first of all I figured I'd share this fi=

My mother told me how they'd make pickles in a big crock without having t=

can them in jars... they cook them to the point they were ready to jar, =
=3D
but=3D20
they'd store them in a big redwing crock, and not worry about sealing it,=
=3D
=3D20=3D20
they'd place a large peice of plastic over pickles and brine and then put=
=3D
a=3D20
couple inches of water on top of the plastic... this would seal it, and w=

hen you=3D20
needed some... or snuck one from grandma, you'd gently lift up on one sid=

So when I pug my reclaim, it's a mess and so I pug a whole bunch.. not=3D20=

necessarily ready to throw right on the wheel... kind of a premix that I =
=3D
can add=3D20
some dry to get it nice and creamy consistency right then and there, So I=

'm=3D20
packing the logs in the storage bin, keeping it as flat as I can. like =

the pickles,=3D20
I lay a thick peice of plastic, and fill it with enough water to form a s=

the edge... when I'm ready to use it, I lift the edge, take what I'm goi=

use, and cover the rest of it back up... then I can mix it just right, de=

it's ready to go...

So now for the clay questions::

I need to get dry clay so I can mix it in with the reclaim that isn't cre=

I'm dealing largely with laguna in my neighborhood, so I'm rying to decid=
=3D
e which=3D20
laguna bodies would work well

the community studio uses Jamaican brown, and only fires to ^6. I just=3D=

learned Jamaican brown is a ^10 clay body... I haven't really heard of an=
=3D
y=3D20
difficulties at the studio, but I'm still a little nervous... I love the =
=3D
deep brown it=3D20
is, and it's wonderfully creamy... Laguna hasn't gotten back to me regard=
=3D
ing=3D20
this, so I'm curious if anyone has any other experience or suggestions...=
=3D
I=3D20
greatly appreciate it... I'm also looking for a basic mid-fire white to =
=3D
add to=3D20
lighter batches to slip it up...=3D20

another concern is whether the body has porcelain in it. Peter Pugger, be=

cast aluminum, doesn't like that. I forget the true problem it causes, bu=

t it's a=3D20
big no-no.. In readin a lot of fine print on their page, some basic ^6 bo=

dies do=3D20
infact have porcelain in them... so that won't be good for me....

A lot of stuff in the message,

Thanks in advance,
