furnace glasses

It has been more than thirty years since I owned furnace glasses. Any
suggestions on good sources. and specs. The last pair I had was radium
blue, but that was for an electric arc steel furnace. Spectrum protection
does matter. I'm Googling, but wiser heads may already know.

No kiln yet, but shopping and/or plotting

I recommend green #3 safety glasses for looking into a peephole. Last
year we decided to stop selling firing safety glasses, because we
couldn't beat the prices found on Amazon.

In the early 90s, I asked an expert on safety eye wear for a
recommendation on kiln safety glasses. She gave me a handful glasses in
various shades of green. I tested them at cone 10 with the Q-11A kiln
and chose green #3, because it is a dark shade that reduces glare, yet
it is not so dark that it obscures the view of the interior.
