I had an old bag of gritty red clay that I wanted to
use up. The label says fire to cone 04 - 6 (!!!).
I used the clay to make up some gardening planters
which I will not glaze. I would like to fire these so they
are still somewhat porous and can breathe. Normal
bisque to cone 04 seems like it would be a little too
soft so I'm thinking maybe cone 1. Or should I push
it to cone 3, or maybe even 4?
This is a one shot deal and I may never do it again
so the old test, test, test adage is out the window.

Trying to make the most of some junk.
