I haven't heard a longrange forecast for here, but expect it to be 50
degrees and light rain. You can pick any random day between November
and June and that's what it will be. We consider anything else a
gift. But I do hope Mt. Rainier is "out" (as we say here) at least
part of the time during NCECA.

Been here 13 years now and what I most often hear it called is "Mistin' ".
"It's just mistin' ! It's really gotta be pouring before I see umbrellas or
there's a lot of out of towners going to a convention!!!;-)
Waterproof jackets were one of the first items we invested in when we moved
here.
My daughter is writing a list of great restaurants for us as she works in
Seattle. I'll post it as soon as she emails it to to me.
See all you clayarters soon!

That's for sure. I never use an umbrella, but I always wear a cap.
A typical Seattle weather forecast: rain changing to showers with
occasional sunbreaks. No where else do they use the term sunbreaks.
And I'd bet you've never heard the term suckerhole. That's a small
patch of blue in a cloudy sky. As in, "Oh look, blue sky! Let's go
hiking!"
SUCKER!
