Hi List

Sorry, I didn't save original Subject Line here, but at teabowl workshop at=
TCC I made a note about gravity feed oil burners which someone in audience=
was wondering about. Richard Milgrim, one of the presenters, mentioned tha=
t it was worth while checking out Japanese company Kamine. I Googled them a=
nd they do indeed deal with this sort of burner plus other green technology=
in partnership with a German group, I believe. It's a start.

Also, I think the potter which Logan mentioned up here in Skagit Valley wil=
l be Steve Murray who fires a two or three chambered wood kiln up in Concre=
te, WA. His wife, Nicola, an award winning playwright, comes down to Skagit=
Valley during the Tulip Festival and sets up for the month. Coincidentally=
, they passed through Stratford upon Avon (Nicola is English by birth and b=
ecame a naturalized citizen over a year ago) about 15-16 years ago and came=
in our shop Dianthus Ceramics and met my late husband, Mike. I was probabl=
y teaching and missed the visit. I have a couple of Steve's pieces. I omitt=
ed to sign my posting yesterday and have enjoyed the JD Steveni references =
from Hank and Rick.

I know it sounds like a porky pie, but we've enjoyed several -- at least 5 =
-- sunny days in a row up here on the top left hand side. And, Paul, have t=
o emphatically side with Uri Krueger about Mt Baker. I see it from many vis=
tas up here in Mount Vernon, and have fond memories of learning to ski and =
attending the Slush Cup on the 4th. That's back when snakes could walk, fol=
ks!
