i use a rock polisher. it is old, but still runs.
i use about 10 river rocks in mine...however,
i am not using porcelain clay...and it sure does
not matter if i get a few drops of silica off the stones.
i use what is around.
make do.
i got that rock polisher at goodwill for my kid years back.
like 2 bucks.
i mill my iron and cobalt/copper etc. with a couple cups of glaze.
gets those damn chemical spots mixed. i let it run for a couple of days.
