to those in the know, is there any benefit to coating harbrick with
ITC, say the firebox in a wood kiln? for those who have done it, does
it apply pretty much the same as to IFB? I would assume since it is
less porous that you might have a harder time applying a coat of the
stuff.
Looking at ways to treat the firebox of a wood kiln, especially to
keep down deterioration of the throat arch on a bourrey box, etc. We
have Empire S bricks that we are using throughout this kiln for what
it's worth.
