Just wanted to let everyone know that I posted Paul's and my
co-lecture on chinapainting on my PPIO chinapainters' forum. Its our
entire presentation , including the slides , broken down into 5 parts
for ease of loading.

part 1 is a little general blahblah about the
lecture and some pix of me and Paul ( im the one without the beard ) and
Garth Johnson who introduced us ...

Paul part 1 and 2 is Paul's half
of the lecture and covers the history of overglaze up through
contemporary work .

Marci part 1 and 2 is my half and it covers the
many and varied techniques for overglaze work .. like china paint, the
various golds, resinate lusters , texture pastes and a lot of other
interesting things.

I also plan to add more information to my section
as time permits.

Anyway , anyone interested can check it out at
www.PPIOforum.com , scroll down to the NCECA presentation .

You dont have to log in to view anything.. Just click to open . (
photos will enlarge with a click as well ) ... The sections are often
out of order ( every new comment moves that section to the top of the
thread ) , but you should be able to follow the order by the titles.

Please pass this information along to anyone you think might be
interested....

Thanks to all who attended the lecture in person .. and
a HUGE thank you to everyone who allowed us use of their images. We
couldnt have done it without you guys...

And a special thanks from me
to Paul who showed me that potters do more than brown pots.
