People interested having a stout kiln of their own should make an effort to
buy this one as listed by Joe. With a little prep and transportation effort
you can own a great Fred Olsen kiln. This Olsen started out to be a "kiln i=
n
paradise" but circumstances beyond Joe's control has taken effect. Buy this
kiln! I saw the kiln this past Wednesday securely tarped and protected from
the elements. All parts, kiln furniture, is as new, never used. All the
powdered glazes and any of the other items Joe has included is a true steal
of a deal.

Hi Dale and Clayart,
I bought an Olsen around 30 years ago. It was in very good shape, it was
sold from a school, hardly used,
and I sprayed ITC to finish it off. It has been a great kiln. It produces
wonderful colors, great reduction,
or fast firings if you want them. I usually do a twelve hour firing and a
thirty six slow cooling
before I open the kiln. But I have done some six hour firings and they wer=
e
good, too.
After all this time, and many, many firings I think anyone who can find and
buy an Olsen
would really like working with it.
Best to all,

Hey Rikki,
I have an Olsen too. Best updraft around. I've had mine for the same amount
of time. I believe the Olsen that Joe has for sale is a great deal for
anyone if they can solve the transportation issues in getting it moved.
Everything one would need ready to hook up. Never has been fired.
