Kim,

Arnold or one of his cohorts at Paragon has placed at least the specs page
for this model on Paragon's website. It does seem to be an older model
number. With the specs, you should be able to find a similar new kiln for
price comparisons.

Hope it works out for you.

I have an old small Duncan kiln that was rated at cone 6 and even with
new elements would barely get there. It had been used primarily to fire
china paints - like 018 and 020, After a chat with the folks at Paragon,
the engineers were able to set me up with a wiring kit to convetr the
kiln to a cone 10 with no trouble. It gets to cone 10 on 20 amps, and is
big enough to fire 18 inchs tall pieces and 14 inch plates. Didn't even
need to change the power cord. You might give them a call.

In 1997 the A-82B was replaced with the S-82. The A-82B has 4-way rotary
switches, and the S-82 has infinite controls.

The A-82B is rated to 2300F and requires a 14-50 wall outlet.
