Asim - Only you and your doctor/cardiologist will be able to decide when
you are able to pursue your passion once again.
That you are back to your office/work and will have additional heart
repairs is good.
Perhaps you need to speak to your doctor about necessary life style/diet
changes.
Perhaps Mel will chime in and speak to his heart issues and how they have
affected or not affected his studio work.
But even if somebody on this forum responds writing about the same heart
issues, each person's health condition is individual to them.
Good luck to you.

Hi Asim,

Heart disease doesn't do well with extremes in temperature. Your
heart doesn't like it. If you watch the news during the big snowfalls
there is always someone who dies because they go out and shovel or
snow-blow in the cold. Extreme cold is as bad for your heart as
extreme heat.

As Bill Schran pointed out it is up to you and your cardiologist to
figure out when you can resume your normal pottery activities.

The one thing you need to do for sure though is invest in an air
conditioner for your studio. As you found out, working in your studio
when the temperature was at 100 degrees put too much stress on your
heart and your cardiovascular system.

I had cardiac bypass surgery about 9 years ago. I have had diabetes
for 35 years, since I was 13. Back in the old dark days there weren't
blood glucose monitors and insulin pumps. ...and having diabetes for
that long means that some complications can occur.

Your will have to use your head to keep from working past the limits
of what you can do.

It doesn't mean you have to stop working and making pots, it simply
means you have to work smarter about how you do it.

Dear Asim,=3D20

Bill and John have hit the nail on the head, the only addition I have to ad=
d=3D
is as follows.=3D20
Like many of us your "Head" is a great deal younger than your physical self=
.=3D
This is fine and keeps you young at heart, an excellent state of affairs P=
R=3D
OVIDED you also listen to your body.=3D20
It will give you a lot of good advice which now, after what you've experien=
c=3D
ed, you really HAVE to take notice of.=3D20

My motto for what it's worth is:=3D20
"When in doubt, Don't!"
