Some time back there was a discussion of "ethnic chicken cookers" -
unglazed earthenware chicken roasting pots. Has anybody actually made
and used one of these? Do you happen to have a photo of it I could put
in the book I am working on? I am having a hard time finding anybody who
makes unglazed earthenware. If you've made one even for your own
personal use, even if it isn't an item you sell, I'd love to see it and
any comments you have about using it. If you know anybody who makes
unglazed earthenware, pass her name on to me, too! Or my name on to her.
(Or him. I have a hard time using "them" to mean "him or her") Please
email images to me off-list of course, as long as you don't put too many
in one message.
The book is about cooking in clay pots and it will be published by the
American Ceramic Society.
