i think far too many pieces of art have `potential value`...in other
words the price is an opinion/or potential sale.
only when the work sells for that price does it gain value.
it is like trading two 800 dollar cats for a 1600 dollar dog.
who's value?
it is like antiques road show...`at auction, this may be worth $25,000`
but then, it may bomb. potential value.
