kerry's itc report

kerry called last night and said she is `stunned` at the
itc coating results. (we had decided that we would not talk
about itc for five weeks or so.

her new kiln has no erosion on the cover, no coils on any kilns have
failed and that is a first for a six week period.

the old kilns are just fine, with no further destruction.

now, understand, this is a short test. but, she fires
six electric kilns almost every day. and the glass firing
is really hard on her kilns...destructive is the key word.

this was a perfect test for itc 100. even i was rather
skeptical about this test. her kilns really have taken a beating.
most of you would be in shock and awe to view them. this was more than
a band aide, it worked well. and, we just scraped the crap off
and sprayed right on top.

she tracks her electric bill, but has not done results with cost, but
we know her kiln repair costs have dropped a ton. she was having
her team replace coils almost every week in one kiln or the other.
(as someone wrote her...`it is a salt firing`.

i will report back again in six week more. but, this was a good starter
test. we know the kilns will fail within the year, but that is half of wha=
t
she was going through. we are trying to slow the death...first aid.
and, kerry is the perfect tester as she is a real pro...and knows her kilns=
.

she is planning on coating her big gas kiln soon, and then starting
a program of using itc 213 metal coating on her coils. we will see.
i know if we did the 213, itc 100 and then top coated her new kilns they
would be almost perfect for her needs.
