I will be travelling to Salt Springs Island B.C for the first time in
mid-March. Do any of you have recommendations for bed and breakfasts,
restaurants, and pottery studios open to visitors? I have heard that it
is a wonderful place to visit, but no one I know has been there.

Thanks!

Ronn - try emailing the BC Potters Guild bcpguild@intouch.bc.ca - there are
a lot of potters on Salt Spring and the Guild people could probably put you
in touch with some of them. George

I know I'm going to offend some friends by forgetting them, but I've just
pulled a flyer out to get you started on your list of Salt Spring Potters to
visit.

Denys James, Judy Weeden, Gary Cherneff, Susan Hirst, Terry Ryals and
Melissa Searcy are 6 Potters who host an annual sale and exhibition at
Judy's studio. There are many more potters there and nearby on Vancouver
Island and the other gulf islands.

I called Judy after reading your posting. She suggests the Wisteria B&B in
Ganges, reasonable, run by 2 wonderful older women and in the main centre.
You will need a car to get around on Salt Spring. You can e-mail Judy for
more info weedon@raven.bc.ca

Another Salt Spring potter and clay arter is Terry Sevold. Hopefully she'll
see this and respond as well.

If you want to see the Tozan Noborigama and Anagama in Nanimo while your out
this way let me know.
