With all this talk about air compressors and related stuff for the studio,
some points to ponder.

Just having an air compressor and using it doesn't mean it will provide
trouble free use over time for you.

1.Size the compressor and related air line piping adequately.

2. Use a regulator/filter assembly at each air station.

3. Use a coalescing filter to remove oil and other contamination from the line.

4. Use a desicant dryer to remove moisture from the line.

5. Drain the moisture from the air tank on a regular basis.

6. Make sure the oil level in the compressor pump is always adequate.

7. If you use air tools, equip each of them witha small inline oiler
(Wilkerson) rather then place a larger oiler on the line.

8. If you take care of your compressor and keep the air clean, moisture
freem air and contaminant free, it will provide years of air for you.
