I'm passing along a message from the president of the Tozan Society, Jeorge
McGladrey:

_____________________________________________________________

To all those wonderful Potters who made the Dragon Feast the great success
it was I would like to say THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU
THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU

I was in total awe when I wandered through the fields of colours, textures,
forms and energy emanating from the 100 plus Japanese style diner sets at
the Dragon Feast.

I am not a potter but a sculptor. My hands are my eyes when I work with
the clay and I feel that I might have a minute understanding and
appreciation for the spirit and soul that goes into the works produced by
potters.

However, there is something overwhelming and emotionally moving when you
see a large joint effort made by countless potters to help maintain the
Tozan Kiln here in Nanaimo.

The part I played as president is infinitesimal compared to that of the
volunteers, chefs, kitchen staff, committee, contributing potters, members
of the society and the wonderful individuals who bought the tickets.

And to those of you on Clayart I thank you from my heart for keeping our
presence alive each time you type the word
" TOZAN ".
