Kim Yung Moon was documented as a traditional potter by Thanos
Johnson of Colorado in 1970s for the Smithstonian Institute. Mr.
Johnson was the 10th student of Hamada.
From personal experience of Mr. Kim he is a traditional potter who
is extremely hospitable and he would make sure your workshop and
stay were exceptional. At Osan he has a seven chamber noborigama
plus of course other styles including gas kilns. He not only does
traditional pottery but has a commercial pottery as well. He graduated
from Seoul University in Arts and was the ceramic prof. at the
University until he chose to produce traditional ware.
