randall type motor

Sorry. We always are urged to clean up our mailboxes, so I did. No
sooner did I do that that a friend asked re: motorizing a kickwheel
as she had been asked something like $300 for a motor! Wow. I have used
two "plans" gathered over the years: a 1/4 hp motor with a rubber wheel
which motor is hinged and given a strong spring, depressed by the foot and
the rubber wheel makes contact and turns the flywheel.

Meanwhile I KNOW someone offered a more elaborate suggestion on CLAYART
just a few days ago--I did not keep. This plan as I recall was a replica
of the kind of motorization used on Randall wheels. Could that kind
person repost? Did that kind person have a plan? Kind person and others
similarly inclined, please help.
