A Belgian lady (hobby potter) will be leaving for New York City in a few
days. She will be staying there in a hotel near Greenwich Village for two
months. Her husband will be working during the day time, so she will have
ample time to spend on ceramics.
If you happen to know of a course, workshop, project or private lessons in
ceramics in NYC in March or April 1998 please let me know, and I will
forward the info to the Belgian lady.
If you know of ceramic exhibitions in museums or galleries in that period
she will also be happy to learn them from you. Thank you in advance on
behalf of my Belgian friend without a modem.

Hanneke,
For your friend coming to NYC,
For interesting research/reading check out:
American Crafts Library - amcraft@mindspring.com
For hands on try:
Greenwich House Pottery 16 Jones Street NY NY 10014 (212) 242-4106
Parson's School of Design - Continuing Education
92nd Street "Y"
or for more ample space (right across the river) check out
NY/NJ Academy of Ceramic Art in Jersey Cty (201) 432-9315
which offers short term rentals, classes, and tutorials.
I rent space there and am happy with the space, glaze lab, and firing capacity.

The Betty Woodman exhibit at the Max Protech Gallery is great. Garth Clark
has a great show of Ann Kraus' pots as well.
