Numo:

A slip made of ordinary clay is likely to crack if put on a bisqued pot
because after the application, the slip will go through its drying
shrinkage but the bisqued pot has already done so. Two possible
solutions. Add a large percentage of calcined clay (e.g. Glomax) to the
slip. Better yet, apply the slip to the pot just after it has been thrown,
or at the leather-hard stage, at the latest.
