I'm looking at the claims that are made for ITC ceramic products and I'm
impressed.
Have many people in the group used these products and what kind of results =
did
you have . Have you seen the energy savings from using the ITC products, can =
the
ITC 200 ceramic fill be used as a patch or is it just a fill and how =
important
is using the 296 top coating, what kind of problems do you have if you don't=
use
the top coat?

thank you very much

Hello Jon,

Yes, I have put ITC 100, followed by ITC 296 after three firings. I have a
Bailey Studio Kiln, fibre on the door and ceiling. Used to have those pesky
little fibre threads filtering down on my pots, no more. The surface of
the fibre is "crisp". Since I have applied the ITC I have used 1/3 to 1/4
less propane, my pots look better; I'm not 100 k% sure if this is because
of the ITC, or because I am learning more about the process of reduction
firing.

There has been a lot off and on, on clayart Jon, about ITC coatings, lots
of opinions to filter through, take a look at the archives. Best regards,
Liz
