A friend named Liza is moving to Austin , Texas. She would appreciate some
clay contacts when she gets there. She is a recent graduate of Skidmore
College, N.Y., a certified art teacher, and a great clay artist. If anyone
knows of potters, group studios or places she could teach, please let me
know. thanks J. Axford

Hi,
Look up Sharon Smith, she's doing some incredible work which she shows only in
Texas. She won a NEA grant a few years ago and has had several shows in
Houston. She knows just about anyone and anything dealing with clay in
Austin. Also is a really nice person and loves to help people.

Good luck.

I do not live in Austin, but close to Houston, TX. I envy your friend.
There are LOTS of potters in the Austin area. A good place to start MAY be
the art dept at UT. But another good place to start will be Armadillo Clay
off 6th street in Austin. They are the supplier for the area, very good
size with lots of helpful folks.
I know she will love it there! Wish her great luck.
