Speaking of auctions... There was an auction in April, 1997 by
Bonham's in London of work by Lucie Rie. The range for pieces sold
ranged from $2,500 for a collection of buttons picked up by New York's
Metropolitan Musuem to $45,000 for a covered jar with sgraffito
decoration.
