Hi all;
I tried to ball mill a glaze I use with volcanic ash, and looked everywhere
for an inexpensive ball mill machine. I purchased a very old second hand
machine for polishing rocks. Worked like a charm but was very small.
Unfortunately, it was very old and gave up the bun after a very short
period of time, but the system for polishing rocks works fine if you can
find a second hand one.

A little suggestion someone might like to try:

I had been asking about ball milling a small amount of a chemical and the
person I asked suggested I put it all in a large jar with some pebbles and
water, maybe pad it a bit, and then put it in the trunk of my car. After a
while of rolling about at every stop, etc., think of how fine the materials
might be!
Of course your trunk would have to be emptier than mine.
Has anyone ever tried this?
