Dear Clayarters:

The Glaze Doctor session at NCECA will consist of three SHORT slide
lecturettes with questions between and after: A Glazed Life, Two
Approaches, and Putting It All Together.

Part 1--"A Glazed Life" will briefly introduce the experiences I have
had with glaze: high temp reduction, oxidation and salt; low temp; and
in-glaze reduced lusters.

Part 2--"Two Approaches" will demonstrate a quick wet testing method used
to solve a crazing problem AND a calculation software approach to the same
problem.

Part 3--"Putting It All Together" will look at surface from a less
technical point of view and review ways to think about glazing, processes,
combinations of processes, and preferences.

The session will be held from 2-4:00 Friday. I hope you can come.

I confess that I have been reading the Clayart listserv for months with
the aim of preparing for the NCECA session--looking for timely
questions, concerns...

Thanks for your help. I have learned a great deal from both your questions
and your answers and, in fact, formulated the presentation with your
cumulative assistance.

Sincerely,

Diana Pancioli
EMU

Hope you can pass some of these tricks, like the wet test? ...to us folks
who remain here in cyberspace!

Doctor:-)

If you can and are willing it would be nice to see some written word on
what you will be presenting at NCECA. I'll be at the conference on Wed. &
Thrus. but have a gig here in OKC on Friday. I was pained when I saw that
you were presenting on Friday. Do what you can, please. There are many of
us who will appreciate what you share.
