outdoor gas raku kiln and dont own the regular kiln. Can I bisque in the Raku
Kiln. What are dangers...does anyone have any ides for bisquing/???

Hi,
I did my bisque in a small gas Raku kiln for 15 years. The only problem I
had was the flame sometimes reaching the cold pots. Just make sure your work
is very dry and you have some kind of wall between the flame and the pots.
Good Luck,

Zoe,
The answer is YES. Shield the pots at the side above the burner with
bits of shelf ond or brick, as the flame will go up the side in the
early stages. When you fire start with the smallest flame you can and
increase in tiny amounts while you can still feel (or see on a piece of
shiny tin NOT a mirror) moisture. You can't go too slowly. Once you have
colour showing you can go a bit quicker.
