I use the Chrome tin pink recipe in Hamer with very consistant results with
a tiny (.3%) amount of chrome. I'll find the recipe and post it . Slightly
more will push it to maroon. The glaze breaks to white over any sharp edge
and I use carved decoration to show this off. Is a smooth gloss. I don't
know about food safety issues.
