David of Texas is whining about spending $56 on a Bison trimming tool. I
ordered a Texas house wine when out for dinner with David and Mel at Nccea
and Mel said a Texas wine was a oxymoron.
Try this Canadian whine. We bought our Bison tools from our clay supplier
in Canada for $115 plus 15% tax. Dropped the first two and they shattered
like glass. Sheila has trimmed porcelain for 5 years with the one. Never
sharpened it and it shaves off clay like shaving with a barbers razor.
Sheila bought me one at Fort Worth for my birthday.
We have learned to treat them like precious objects. We hang them on a
nail instead of leaving it hang around on tables etc. No cleaning numblies
off of bats with it either.
As your know David, we put a footring on everything except jugs, and we use
very few tools. The Bison trimming tool is an essential especially for
porcelain. Just like your pickup truck you will learn to love it.
Phil the guy that makes them is neat too. Drives a 47 Indian motorcycle as
everday transportation. That makes him a part of the luddite fraternity.
If only one glass of Canadian whine isn't enough I 've got more.
I whine at dinner cause it's good for me.
cheers,
tony
