I just asked about Calgon and various other questions about
deflocculants. I have found a source that addresses some of
these question quite admirably. in fact, I should have looked
there first but since I didn't, you have the benefit of
thinking about the questions for yourself first!!
The place you want to look is (of course)
http://digitalfire.com/education/ then the clays and clay bodies
section then the casting slips section.
It has a lot of really good clear info. Of course, I'm still
wondering how exactly the properties of casting slips relate to
(a) the kinds of slips we brush on adn (b) terra sigs.
Anyone want to have a crack at that one?
Thanks,

Hi,
New to glazemaking I went out and bought calgon at Long's but it happens to
be the perfumed variety. This I added to my first batch of terrasig. There
was a post recently that said, no no no, do not use THAT calgon, it is not
the same, ingrediants have been changed. Question: Will my terrasig be
allright or should I go purchase the real stuff at Dharma Trading Post in
San Raphael (CA, USA), and add it to this mixture? OR?
Thanks,
Centa
