I know where there is a brand new never before fired, envelope style,
Minnisota flat-top for sale:

Details: Designed By Nils Lou
Dual Burners, Forced Air, Designed and Constructed by Nils
Lou
Comes with UV safety solenoid shutoffs on the
primary and
secondary gas lines. Stand mounted control pannel.

The kiln itself is a 90 cu.ft. envelope of welded frame and sheetmetal on
wheels that ride on a tracks for opening and closing. The envelope walls and
ceiling are lined with 6" thick folded blanket refractory fiber blocks by
John Mansville co. Each block has a stainless channel which slips onto a
stainless button welded to the steel envelope. That make the blocks easily
replaceable. The blocks still have the cardboard protectors on them. The
envelope sits on tracks making it easy to roll back from over the kiln table
.. There are swing locks at the open end to secure the envelope to the front
wall when firing.

The kiln floor is stationary, and the floor frame is built on 10 inch twin I
-beams that are connected to welded cross connectors. The floor is made of
channels so firebricks are simply placed side by side, making the entire
floor very easily replaceable.

The front wall of the kiln is a steel and sheetmetal structure like the
movable envelope. It is fixed and is welded to the I-Beam floor structure.
The Bottom 1/3 of the wall is lined with firebrick and the upper 2/3 is the
6" refractory fiber. The burner ports and the chimney port are all in the
firebrick portion of the wall. The chimney is galvanized chimney metal with
refractory liner from Firebrick Supply, Inc. The chimney base is stacked
firebrick up to about 3 feet then liner and galvanized from ther up to 18 ft
..

This kiln was designed with portability in mind. The envelope can easily be
rolled right up on a truck bed and the I-beams serve as skids and can be
wenched up on to a truck bed with one of the better come-a-longs.or it can
be set up on pallet jacks. The entire assembly from stack to rear of the
envelope is approx. 12 feet in length. Although bulky, with the fiber
construction it is not as heavy as it might look.

The kiln was built for a special project that did not materialize and is
now surplus to the needs of the business. There are no shelves or kiln
furniture.

It is located in Soldotna, Alaska, on the highway system, and can be
shipped by cargo vessel to Seattle or transported by your own truck via the
Alaska Marine Highway System to Seattle, or if you are a brave soul, you
could drive down the Alaska Highway with it. It's not that heavy and
transport trucks do it all the time.

Price negotiable.
