I am new at this pottery stuff and I am thoroughly
confused about what is "food safe" and what is not. If you
have a good cone 6 ox. glaze or glaze base please share it
with me.

Hi Wallace
Here is a "food safe" cone 6 glossy base glaze. It comes from Tony Hanson.
Works well with both stains and oxides.
20% Wollastonite
20% Frit 3134
20% Kaolin (epk is the best)
20% Flint
20% Custer Feldspar
