the Gallagher's on wed 8 apr 98
Hi Everyone,
I will be heading to Kathmandu, Nepal next week and wondered if anyone knew of
people I could contact while there.
This is an educational journey, arranged by my ceramics instructor and we do
have a loose itinerary. She has been before so she has contact with a few
folks there already.
I have been approached by Ray Meeker, who offered me the names of Jim Danisch
and Judith Chase, but I have been unable to contact them with the e-mail
address he gave me.
Does anyone know these folks? They live in No. California. They apparently
lived for a time in Nepal, working with some potters there.
I will be leaving on Monday, next, so any information given this week would be
appreciated.
Thanks.
Michelle

Jim Danisch lives along the Lost Coast in northern California. He is a superb
porcelain-worker. You can get his number from the Mendocino Art Center (where
he has taught workshops) at (707) 937-5818. He also takes an annual tour of
potters over to Nepal -- he (and Judith) lived there for a number of years
(between 5 and 8, I think), where he developed and implemented ways to set up
efficient potteries. Plus, he's one terrific guy.
Have a wonderful trip!
