one burner or two?

Clayarters! I have a quick Raku question for all you pyromaniacs out
there...here at university, we have a "home-made" (quite nice) Raku kiln.
I have a quick question that's been bugging me for quite some time. Our
old Raku kiln had only one burner (we fire by gas...) but this one has 2.
Is this ok? Is one burner better? Just wondering....

Thanks, everyone!

Most raku kilns seem to have one burner (and I'd bet almost all
are "home made"), but the "one burner" tendency has more to do
with the size of the kiln (usually small). Generally there is
no need for more than one burner, but I've used raku kilns with
two. Don't make no never-mind, as long as the kiln works
efficiently. Raku kilns are made/intended to fire quickly. Don't
know the size or design of either your kiln or burners, but if
the kiln works well, don't fix it. It really doesn't matter
how many burners it has.

The recently created raku kiln at UNCG has two burners in the main kiln
but only one in the warm up kiln.
