I'm looking to get a manganese mat glaze but I've lost my mat base that I used
to just add different colorants to. Does anyone have a mat base that I can
add managanese to or a non-gloss recipe that will look simlar.
Thanks,

Krumm:
This is a modification I've made to Rhodes 32 from Clay and Glazes
Potash Spar (I use Custer) 45
Kaolin 25
Dolomite 25
Whiting 5
Additioins of 1% manganese and 1% Iron make a quite interesting glaze at c
9-10
The original R32 is:
Oxford Spar 48.9
China Clay 25.1
Dolomite 22.4
Whiting 3.5
Enjoy
