Dear Clayart,
Having been watching the discussion of guidelines for compositions of glazes I
have decided to finally publish my universal limit formulas for ceramic
surfaces. I cannot claim that all glazes, slips, or claybodies, falling within
the limits will "work" be "durable" or "interesting", but I can claim that all
glazes using the oxides included in the limit formulas fall within the limits
set by them.
Na2O 0.0- 1.0
K2O 0.0- 1.0
Li2O 0.0- 1.0
CaO 0.0- 1.0
BaO 0.0- 1.0
MgO 0.0- 1.0
SrO 0.0- 1.0
PbO 0.0- 1.0
ZnO 0.0- 1.0
SiO2 *0
B2O3 *0
Al203 *0
