Hello!

I'm new to this list, but I think I'm going to be really glad I found it...I
have an incredible passion for pitfiring and burnished surfaces, and I would
love to hear about different techniques...does anyone share this love of mine?

Hi there,
We just did a pit fire this last weekend. It was the 3rd annual Pit Fire an
Genisis Clay Work in O'Neals Ca. We have over 30 people attend and over 100
pieces in the fire. We got the most beautiful color we have ever gotten and it
not have a signal piece break. I'd be glad to answer any questions. My E-mail
is ibpede@sierranet.net

Hello Cory,
Every year in the summer I do a pit firing workshop with students at Point
Reyes in Marin County.

I have some pictures of the process on my website along with some examples
of past student work.

I hear that Vince Pitelka does an amazing workshop every year in the summer
called Ancient Firing Techniques.

HI Justin,

Wow! No breakage...that's amazing! Where is Oneal? I live in Sonoma County,
in northern California. What type of materials did you use to burn? And what
did you use to get your great color?
