Hi Karen,
I find adding CMC gum to the stain/frit mix worked fine for adhesion went.
To improved flow off the brush, I followed the sapient advice of Clayartists
and added glycerin. Flows like sweet Afton!
How much? Sorry, but I just dolloped my CMC solution in until I had the
consistency of warm honey. When the decoration dried, it had a hard crust on
it with a slight shine. If you go this route, don't make any mistakes -- it
is a bear to remove.
