Hello Clayart,
I recently read an article by Pete Pinnell that mentioned using Newman red or
Apache red fireclay for a ^6 terra sig. (apparently it has a higher firing
range than Redart) Does anyone know of a source for this dry clay?
You may reply to me directly if you wish. I appreciate your help.
Sincerely,
J. Dubats

Hi J,
Newman is a high iron fire clay mined by Muddox in California. Axner has
some and so does Tuckers. It has about 0.5 absorbaency at cone 10 reduction
& a little more at cone 10 oxidation.
