I live in Minnesota and the winters are cold cold cold, Im a potter and I =
would
like to put tile on the outside of a studio that I am building, some of the =
tile
are quite thick, relieved in fact. I've noticed that a lot of my pots that I =
have
left out seem to come apart during the winters so Is this a practical idea =
and
do you have any suggestions for clay bodies or adhesive tips?
thank you

Hi Jon,
We just finished a cement block studio that I'm also planning to put some tile o
I plan to use the clay body that I use for tile garden benches that I leave out
winter here in Wisconsin. The recipe:
1 part Goldart
1 part AP Green 28 mesh fireclay
1 part Kyanite (35 mesh)
This body is coarse. I get about 7% total shrinkage and 4% absorption at ^ 10 w
it.
Good luck,
Sylvia Mondloch
