Hello all.....

(this is a "techno weenie" question.....)

could a potter/kiln-god please give us less knowledgable (unfortunately) folks
on clayart the low- down on kiln shelves... there is cordierite, silica
carbide, high alumina, etc, etc..

what do you want for oxidation...reduction...wood....salt....what brands are
the best....? nitride boned?

please feel free to ramble on about the subject since i haven't found much
info in the literature and catalogs can sometimes be suspect......

hank......in oklahoma.....where my wife says i have to build a high- fire
kiln, cause raku stresses her out and she wants some new dishes.....

Hi, this is nothing to do with your question. But- you sent
me some questions few days ago and I deleted in the midst of
answering. Including your email address (which I wish people
would include routinely with their signatures). So the only
question I can remember was what kind of gas I use - natural
gas. Send the other questions on, and I will try to get them
answered without hitting the wrong key...
