Hi all again,

Agreeing with Jonathan Kaplan that an alternate clay is probably advisable
leads me to my next query. Does anyone have recommendations for a brand of
clay mixer? (Soldner?, etc?) We might as well try to mix our own, seeing as
how we make everything else.

Thanks,

Annie

Here at Southern Illinois University we have both a Bluebird mixer and a
Soldner Pro series. We only use the Soldner for porcelain but it is MUCH better
than the Bluebird and easier to clean. With the concrete tub if you over water
you can just let it run to get the right consistency ... to a point. I would
recommend the Soldner, most definitely.
